Selichot in Minhag Catalonia

In the Sephardic tradition, the recitation of the selichot begins on the second day of the Hebrew month of Elul, while the Ashkenazim begin on the Friday night before Rosh Hashanah.

In the tradition of Catalonia there were two different customs:

Minhag Barcelona: selichot are recited from the 25th of Elul* until Yom Kippur.

Minhag Girona: selichot are recited only during Aseret yemei teshuva (the days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur).
